Excellent article Aria! It’s such a shame that the American Dream, originally envisioned by the Romantics, has been devalued by superficial, materialist goals. Indeed, currently it is so devalued that I’m reminded of the late, great comedian George Carlin who once quipped, ‘ You know why they call it the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it!’
Nevertheless, the radical notions of the Romantics cannot be supressed and I anticipate the remergence of the true American Dream that values all people regardless of class, race or sex.
